As the main themes throughout the Year 11 International Relations course is 'Power and Influence' the group have recently investigated the impact of China as a rising super power. While we have discussed the characteristics that encouraged China to become a powerful nation the group are now looking at China's global reach. Each student was given the free choice of choosing a country in Africa which has received investment from China either through the government or Foreign Direct Investment to explore. The key focus was the impact that this increasingly close ties are having both on the country in Africa and on China itself. The students presented their findings through an oral presentation with the aid of google slides.
