7o created a classroom museum of personal artefacts. Everyone brought in an object that represented them or was special to them. Students practised making observations and inferences about the objects so that they could feel what it's like to be a historian.
Year 7 - Ancient Greek Designs for Today
7o has been learning about Ancient Greece for the past few weeks and they have created some great representations of their knowledge. We have learned about the impact of the geography in Greece, the culture, the government, and the differences between city states. Here are a few examples of some Greek vases that represent modern day activities instead of the activities in Ancient Greece. There are also two myths original myths that explain the reasons we have certain constellations in our night sky.
Year 11 - Civil Rights Leadership Conference
Students in 11i took part in a "Civil Rights Leadership Conference" in which each person represented an individual that was important to a civil rights movement in the past. These placards represent a few of the leaders that were chosen and the short biography that was presented at the beginning of the conference. Students then engaged in a discussion which covered the advantages and disadvantages of various strategies when fighting to make a change in society. They discussed the roles of passive resistance, violent opposition, legal changes, and social media in relation to different movements. It was a great conference and all the students exhibited respectful behavior and an interest in promoting a more peaceful future
Year 9 - Terror

Year 8 - African Tribes
The Year 8s have been investigating different tribes that can be found within the continent of Africa. To share their knowledge the class were put into teams and were asked to create presentations.
Year 7 - Trip to Geneva
During the penultimate week of term the students in Year 7 visited Geneva to find out how the city first developed. They also researched various historical buildings and learnt key skills. One of those skills was the 'My Stop Motion'. The students were asked to stop every few steps and take a picture of what they could see. When they came back to school they put all of their pictures together to create a snap shot of life in Geneva.
Year 8 - Medieval Journey Trip
The Year 8s participated in a Medieval Journey over two days in May. The trip brings together a number of elements of the course content such as the importance of the medieval times to the utilisation of natural resources. On our return from the trip the students were asked to use an online mapping tool called arcGIS to record their adventure.
