Imperial Airlines

Year 9 - Southampton to Cape Town using ArcGIS

Year 9 students have designed a route that Imperial Airlines may have flown in 1937 from Southampton, UK to Cape Town, South Africa. The aim of this was to develop the skills needed to create a story map on ESRI ArcGIS as well as to explore the importance of flight and connecting countries pre World War Two. Timings and the distance they could travel at any one point was critical to the success of this project.
