The students in Year 7 have been completing their final unit on Ancient Greece. Part of this unit has been to investigate how people live and how the different city-states have been designed. Below is a series of aerial plans for a typical Greek Polis.
Year 7 - Greek Inventions
The Year 7s have just started to explore Ancient Greece and to get the group to understand the importance of this era they have looked at different Greek inventions that we still use today. To do this they watched two youtube clips and then were asked to choose four inventions that interested them. They then recorded when those four inventions were created and wrote a short paragraph to describe how the invention was used and how it is still used today.

Year 7 - Ancient Greece
For the final topic of the year the students in Year 7 have been investigating Ancient Greece. To 'kick start' the unit students looked at the importance of the physical landscape in the development of city states. To do this they drew and annotated maps of Ancient Greece and then answered a series of questions. Examples of both the maps and the questions can be found below.
